Our privately owned client has been established for over 20 years and is a leading remediation and brownfield contractor in the UK. Their expertise is within the treatment of contaminated soil and groundwater using a variety of chemical and biological processes; however they also offer a full package including demolition and site re-grading.

Our client has worked on various sites including petro-chemical refineries, military sites, landfills and petrol stations, to name just a few and has several new and refurbished offices throughout the UK.

About the opportunity

Based upon current and anticipated workload, my client is recruiting permanently for a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for delivering earthworks-based remediation projects across the UK with values ranging up to £7M.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead the successful delivery of remediation projects, ensuring commercial performance and health and safety compliance. As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide strategic oversight and take ownership of larger, higher-risk complex projects with values up to £7M. You will manage 2-3 projects simultaneously across different locations, requiring excellent organisational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree or HNC in a construction related discipline (geology, civil engineering or similar).
  • Have a minimum of 10 years’ contracting experience within the remediation / contaminated land sector gained while working for a contractor in the UK.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC3/JCT contracts and be chartered or working towards chartered status.
  • Must be happy to travel UK-wide and hold a full UK driving licence.
