In this leadership role, you will oversee maintenance and optimisation of our bus fleet, ensuring operational efficiency, safety and compliance with industry standards. You will lead a team of engineers, drive innovation, improve vehicle performance and implement best practice to enhance service quality.
About the role
- Lead and drive engineering performance to achieve service targets and objectives.
- Manage engineering P&L, budget and forecasting, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Oversee workshop operations, including shift scheduling and payroll management.
- Ensure fleet maintenance, reliability and regulatory compliance are consistently maintained.
- Supervise stores activities, including warranty management and inventory performance metrics.
- Provide technical training and ensure ongoing audit compliance.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on performance and outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in engineering leadership, preferably within the bus sector.
- Strong people management skills.
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Strong understanding of bus mechanical systems, electrical systems and advanced technologies.
