Your Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Director you will advise clients across a variety of sectors, supporting key decision makers (Board, C‑suite, lenders, investors) in developing and implementing strategic transformations. Your role involves hands‑on delivery in fast‑moving, high‑pressure situations, leading project delivery teams, and managing stakeholder relationships. You will own workstreams end‑to‑end, translating operational insights into clear financial outcomes (EBITDA, cash, CAPEX, risk). You will also support new business development, prepare compelling go‑to‑market collateral, and contribute to thought leadership and practice growth.

Specialism / Experience In
- Professional services/strategy consulting experience in consulting or a combination of consulting and industry roles.
- Proven track record in delivering cross‑sector solutions for third‑party spend, including opportunity assessments, cost‑reduction programmes, and procurement operating‑model transformation.
- Strong analytical skills, linking operational analysis to financial statements and client strategy.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Professional services/strategy consulting experience.
- Proven track record in cost transformation and procurement optimisation.
- Advanced analytical ability and financial acumen.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience across multiple sectors, especially Consumer & Retail, Industrials and Energy, Life Sciences and TMT.
- Expertise in both indirect and direct spend categories, understanding key cost drivers and levers.
- Experience supporting contract separation exercises, building strong client relationships and influencing senior decision makers.
- Experience in business development for large‑scale professional services projects.
- Value creation in transactions, including carve‑outs, separations or integrations.
- Track record of delivering cost transformation with quantified impact and managing project teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, producing high‑calibre reports and presentations.
