Job Title: Intermediate M&E Quantity Surveyor
Location: London or Bristol
Salary: Up to £80,000 + Comprehensive Package
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a degree-qualified professional with at least 2 years’ experience in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) quantity surveying to develop their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.
You will play a key role in the financial management of projects, ensuring cost efficiency, value, and compliance across a diverse portfolio of works. Projects may span commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
- Manage and track project costs, valuations, and variations
- Support procurement processes, including subcontractor selection and negotiation
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
- Monitor project progress against financial targets and report on cost performance
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an M&E Quantity Surveying role
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in relevant software and Microsoft Office applications
