The successful candidates will be recruited substantively. You will be clinically confident in assessing mental health service users presenting in emergencies, carrying out short term interventions and making independent decisions. You will thrive in a fast paced environment, often working under pressure. You will possess excellent assessment, communication skills and interpersonal skills. You will work well with others and enjoy multidisciplinary work whilst maintaining the highest standard in the quality of care.
Responsibilities
- Daily reviews of patients and reporting back to Band 6 nurses
- Support with vital signs
- Support patients who present to A&E in crisis, following assessment by the psyc liaison team or Band 6 in CAU
- Assist with safe discharges and transfers to other servicesComplete PEDICs
- Supervise junior staff and students
- Complete Tendable audits as required

About the Location
The Croydon area has excellent schools both in the state and private sectors. Mental health care for patients who attend CUH is delivered by the Croydon Mental Health Liaison service provided by South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM). Our service takes ages from 18 – 65 years old.
