What you will be doing
- Leading the commercial function across several highways schemes from inception to final account
- Managing and mentoring a team of Quantity Surveyors from trainee to senior level
- Preparing, reviewing, and presenting CVRs and project forecasts with clear strategic insight
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks while driving value engineering opportunities
- Ensuring all projects comply with internal commercial processes and best practice
- Acting as the key commercial advisor on contractual matters and dispute resolution
- Overseeing procurement strategies and maintaining strong supply chain relationships
- Building and managing client relationships, representing the business professionally
- Supporting continuous improvement across commercial systems and processes
What you will bring
- Proven experience in a senior Quantity Surveying role within highways or civil engineering
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (NEC experience preferred)
- Experience managing multiple projects and leading commercial teams
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team development skills
- Ability to manage risk, drive performance, and influence key decisions
- Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external clients
Salary and benefits
- £85,000 – £90,000 per annum (salary dependent on experience)
