Job Title: Technical Engineer (Rolling Stock)

Location: London / Essex / Kent (Hybrid)

Salary: £50-£55k+ benefits

Role Type: Permanent; Monday-Friday (flexible/hybrid working options available subject to business needs)

Key responsibilities

• Supporting fleet reliability, availability, and meeting performance targets.
• Investigation and finding solutions to recurring technical and operational faults.
• Engineering sign‑off on certain activities within delegated authority.
• Working alongside depot and maintenance teams to resolve fleet issues in‑time.
• Data analysis to identify trends and risks.
• Supporting maintenance planning and engineering assurance processes.
• Contributing to continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

About you

• Must have rolling stock experience in reactive maintenance, technical support engineering, maintainability, or reliability‑focused role.
• Qualified to HNC / Level 4 (or equivalent) in any engineering discipline.
• Exceptional fault‑finding and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with technical data, systems and maintenance records.
• Strong communications skills to work alongside multiple departments.
