Overview
In a state-of-the-art facility, you will work on a 4 on 4 off and 5 on 5 off shift rotation, with a combination of days and nights. You will have the chance to contribute to major projects and play a key role in maintaining the efficiency of one of the largest quarries in the country. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be expected to support safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Respond to plant breakdowns, implementing timely fixes and ensuring a return to production with permanent solutions.
- Carry out testing, installation, and maintenance of various electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment, control panels, and safety devices.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, keeping work areas clean and hazard-free while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Train and support operatives, ensuring they are equipped to handle electrical tasks safely and effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level-3 qualification in electrical engineering, with experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Proficient in fault finding, installation, and repair of electrical systems, including buried cables and control panels.
- Familiar with health and safety practices, including working at height and operating MEWPs and scissor lifts.
- Strong communication and team-working skills, with the ability to train and mentor others.
- IT literate, with the ability to manage maintenance schedules and safety documentation effectively.
