Key Responsibilities
- Installation
- Set up new catering equipment (ovens, fryers, dishwashers, refrigeration units)
- Ensure correct electrical, gas, and water connections
- Maintenance & Servicing
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Clean and adjust components to keep equipment running efficiently
- Repairs & Fault Diagnosis
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and gas faults
- Replace faulty parts and test systems after repair
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure equipment meets health & safety standards
- Follow gas safety regulations (especially for commercial catering appliances)
- Customer Support
- Advise clients on equipment usage and care
- Provide reports and service documentation

Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications
- NVQ / City & Guilds in:
- Electrical Engineering or Catering Equipment Maintenance
- Gas qualifications such as:
- COMCAT (Commercial Catering Gas Certification)
- F‑Gas certification (for refrigeration work)
Working Conditions
- Field‑based (travel between sites)
- May include early mornings, evenings, or emergency call‑outs
- Work in hot, busy kitchen environments
