About the Role

Are you a Multi‑Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) looking for a technically engaging role in a modern manufacturing environment? This is a high‑impact opportunity to join a well‑invested production site where engineering reliability, safety and performance are critical to success. You’ll work on automated process and materials‑handling equipment in a role that combines electrical fault‑finding, mechanical maintenance and continuous improvement.

Ideal for engineers from FMCG, food, feed, process manufacturing, packaging, or heavy industry backgrounds, this role offers long‑term stability, technical variety and genuine career progression.

The Role – Multi‑Skilled Engineer

You will be a core part of the site engineering function, responsible for keeping production running safely, efficiently and reliably. Working across planned and reactive maintenance, you’ll support a high‑throughput manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on conveyors, mixers, elevators, presses, coolers and packaging machinery
  • Electrical fault‑finding on motors, sensors, control panels and PLC‑driven plant
  • Mechanical maintenance including bearings, belts, gearboxes, fabrication and welding
  • Rapid response to breakdowns in a live manufacturing environment
  • Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Installation, commissioning and upgrade of new machinery
  • Accurate maintenance recording within a CMMS system
  • Close collaboration with production teams to minimise downtime
  • Upholding health, safety and environmental standards at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Recognise Electrical qualification (BTEC Level 4 / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Electrical qualification (17th Edition or similar preferred) with strong mechanical capability
  • Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food, feed, packaging or process plant
  • Confident electrical and mechanical fault‑finding ability
  • A proactive, hands‑on Maintenance Engineer
  • Strong organisation, communication and safety awareness
  • A team player who takes pride in engineering standards

Benefits

  • Salary: £49,052
  • Monday‑Friday rotating day shifts – no nights
  • Technically varied Multi‑Skilled Engineer role
  • Modern, automated manufacturing environment
  • Long‑term stability and structured career progression
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Work on high‑throughput, critical production equipment

This is not a routine maintenance job. It’s a career‑building opportunity for a capable Multi‑Skilled Engineer who wants to work in a technically challenging, professionally run manufacturing site.
