Role: Water Treatment Installation/Service Engineer

Hours: 40 hours per week Location: Reading

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning a wide range of water treatment equipment for commercial and industrial clients.
• Ensuring all installations are completed in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
• Operating and monitoring water treatment systems, ensuring contractual requirements for water volume and quality.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving, identifying and resolving issues with water treatment systems, often in coordination with line managers and technical support.
• Maintenance and preventive measures: managing consumable inventories, performing preventive maintenance programmes and ensuring system reliability.
• Customer interaction: managing relationships with customers, plant operatives, and other field service engineers.
• Record keeping: maintaining accurate daily records of activities, including test results and maintenance logs.
• Emergency response: acting swiftly to address equipment failures, leaks and other water‑related issues, minimising disruption.
• Regulatory compliance: ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines, including those related to water supply and safety.
• Travel and flexibility: the role involves travel to different sites, potentially nationally and internationally.
• Ad hoc duties: from time to time complete tasks for other identities within the MES Engineering team to help reach targets.
