Maintenance Worker (Mechanical) Band 4
On a daily basis carry out multi‑skilled engineering tasks that would predominately be mechanical but would include gas systems, refrigeration, electrical, drainage and basic building works in any Trust premises, with exposure to occupational hazards pertaining to these elements.
Applications from candidates that require current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out multi‑skilled engineering tasks primarily mechanical, including gas systems, refrigeration, electrical, drainage and basic building works across Trust premises.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a calm, sympathetic approach when working in mental health units, acting in a kind, caring and positive manner to patients, visitors and staff.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are used in a conscientious manner.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check; the Trust will cover the cost.
- Recognition of a training course in Plumbing; attendance of such a course is required or currently being undertaken.
- Eligible to work in the UK without requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship.
