The Role
As a Deputy Home Manager you will support the Home Manager in delivering exceptional care standards and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operation of the service. You will help create a safe, welcoming, and person‑centred environment where residents can thrive, while leading and motivating a dedicated care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the overall management of the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance
- Assist with admissions and build strong relationships with residents, families, and professionals
- Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing for all residents
- Oversee care delivery, staffing, and daily operations
- Lead, support, and develop the team, deputising for the Home Manager when required
- Maintain strong links with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Requirements for Deputy Home Manager
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid PIN
- Experience as a Deputy Home Manager or similar leadership role within elderly care services
- Strong knowledge of care standards and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Level 5 Health & Social Care qualification (desirable)
