Pay & Hours
We offer a rate of £12.71 and a working week of 39 hours over five days a week, Monday to Sunday. We are open to discussing flexible working hours where feasible.
Job Role
As a Supervisor you will work alongside our team preparing fresh ingredients and producing sandwiches, baguettes and other food products in line with company standards, whilst providing excellent customer service and selling high-quality food. You will be trained to Wenzel's standards and be eligible for future progression.
A supervisor will assist the Shop Manager with day‑to‑day store operations, supervising the team, increasing sales, controlling costs, delivering profit, and developing the shop team to build a loyal customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
- Receive and check daily deliveries.
- Assist with the management of branch stock and produce.
- Maintain shop displays.
- Have excellent knowledge and understanding of products.
- Prepare food in line with specifications.
- Food and produce quality control.
- Maintain the highest level of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Work efficiently within a team.
- Cash handling and till operation.
- Open or close the shop when required.
- Run shifts at various times during the week.
- Drive sales and minimize wastage.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment at supervisory level is required.
- Experience working in food production would be advantageous but not essential as full ongoing training will be provided.
