Job Description:

We are growing our outreach and looking for a motivated Field Sales Executive to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships and driving tangible business opportunities through proactive face to face engagement. This role is flexible. You can choose your preferred day between Monday and Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

The Security Officer will be working on duty alone and responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and integrity of the site, including buildings, grounds, assets, contractors, visitors, and any authorised personnel on site.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a visible and professional security presence at all times.
  • Control access and egress, ensuring all visitors, contractors and personnel are authorised.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the site, including buildings and external areas.
  • Monitor activity and report any suspicious activity, damage, or security breaches.
  • Maintain accurate records, including incident reports, occurrence books and daily logs.
  • Communicate effectively through verbal and written reports to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures, reporting hazards or risks identified.
  • Provide support during busy periods or events, ensuring the safety of all persons on site.
  • Liaise with emergency services and external agencies where required.
  • Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, recorded and escalated in line with site procedures.
  • Represent StrongGuard Security UK LTD and the client in a professional manner at all times.
  • This list of duties is not exhaustive; the Security Officer may be required to undertake additional reasonable tasks in line with the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • 1‑3 years of experience in a similar security role, demonstrating job‑ready skills.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced or customer‑focused environment.
  • Experience delivering customer‑facing services and interacting with members of the public.
  • Experience working independently and making decisions in lone‑working environments.
  • Experience in incident reporting, site patrols and maintaining accurate records.
  • A valid SIA Security Officer or Door Supervisor licence.
  • A valid First Aid certificate is desirable.
  • A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to shift patterns and location.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English, are preferred.
  • Flexible and reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality, maintaining a smart appearance and professional demeanour.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work alone and use initiative in a lone‑working environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional and follow procedures in challenging or high‑pressure situations.
  • Confident in conflict management and able to demonstrate sound judgement when dealing with incidents.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate record‑keeping and reporting skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage a dynamic workload.
  • Basic IT skills, including the ability to complete reports and use security systems.
  • A proactive and professional approach, with integrity at all times.

Employment Details

This is a permanent contract position. Applicants need to be flexible covering days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Scheduling: Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, with flexibility as required.
