Programme Manager (SFIA Level 6) /eDV Cleared / London (predominantly on-site)

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a major IT Transformation Programme within a central government environment.
This is a high-impact, delivery-focused role where you will be responsible for coordinating a complex programme delivered across internal government teams and multiple suppliers. The role requires strong leadership, credibility, and the ability to operate effectively within a secure and operationally sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Leadership & Delivery Lead a large-scale IT transformation programme
- Establish programme governance, controls, and reporting frameworks
- Drive delivery against milestones, managing risks, issues, and dependencies
- Ensure alignment across all stakeholders and delivery partners
- Stakeholder & Supplier Management Coordinate delivery across customer teams and third-party suppliers
- Provide clear direction and maintain momentum across a diverse delivery landscape
- Engage senior stakeholders and ensure effective communication throughout
- Resolve conflicts and remove blockers to enable successful delivery
- Planning & Governance
- Define programme structure, delivery approach, and operating model
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and progress tracking
- Ensure adherence to governance, assurance, and compliance requirements
- Support decision-making through clear reporting and insight
Essential Skills & Experience
- Active UK eDV Clearance
- Proven experience operating at SFIA Level 6 (Programme Management)
- Strong track record delivering IT transformation programmes within government or public sector
- Experience managing multi-team, multi-supplier delivery environments
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the gravitas to influence senior leaders
- Experience working in secure or highly regulated environments
