Workshop Plant Fitter / PDI Technician
Location: Coventry
Salary: £18 - £22 per hour + Overtime + Benefits
The Role
As a Workshop Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of heavy plant equipment within a workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine servicing and inspections on plant machinery
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Completing repairs and refurbishments within the workshop
- Maintaining detailed service records and job reports
- Ensuring all work is completed to high safety and quality standards
The Candidate
We are looking for a skilled and motivated engineer who takes pride in their work.
Ideal Background
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, PDI Technician, Workshop Engineer, or similar
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and diesel engines
- Experience working on equipment such as excavators, dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
