An interesting and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Registration Service as the Senior Registrar and Compliance Officer.
Responsibilities
- Support the Superintendent Registrar in the effective management of the Registration Service in the delivery of its statutory functions.
- Manage statutory registration of births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships; conduct citizenship ceremonies and assist with family history bookings.
- Provide sensitive, professional service to customers at life‑defining and emotional moments; ensure staff deliver service professionally and sensitively.
- Undertake training and maintain competence in all duties and responsibilities associated with the post.
- Commit to modernisation and continuous improvement of the service; drive the service forward.
- Work out of hours and on weekends on a rota basis; flexible working arrangements available.
Qualifications & Skills
- High degree of self‑motivation, commitment, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, sensitivity, ICT, and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
