Job Description:

At Nationwide, a Customer Representative role is designed to support our customers with our services across all channels. It involves handling transactions on the till, allocating time for inbound calls, supporting product applications through digital sales, and providing first‑class service in person, via phone, and online. You will be trained to deliver this service.

It is an important role within the branch, acting as a gateway to protecting and looking after our customers while working closely as a team.

We need a Customer Representative for our branch in Basildon, Essex.

This is a 12‑month Fixed Term Contract working part‑time, 31.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday. Part‑time salary is pro‑rata.

You must be within a 45‑minute commute of the branch you’re applying to work in.

Your training will be based virtually in the branch.

Our training pathway ensures you succeed in your role. In the first 3 weeks, no holiday is taken.

Responsibilities

The role is versatile, allowing you to work at the counter completing transactions and educating customers on our digital services and easier ways to bank with us. You may also deal with customer queries through our various channels, including online and via phone. We build knowledge day‑by‑day to answer all customers’ queries – they are central to our work.
