Business Development Manager – PPE & Workwear
Location: Mobile Role / Field-Based (Head Office: Biggin Hill)
Job Type: Full-Time
Reporting To: Sales Director
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Sales Executive with a strong background in the Construction Sales to join our growing team. This is a mobile, road-based role, focused on visiting existing and prospective clients, taking orders, and attending meetings to drive sales and build long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit existing customers and develop new business opportunities within the PPE and Workwear market
- Present and sell a full range of PPE and workwear products
- Take accurate customer orders and ensure timely follow-up
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and occasional head office meetings
- Maintain strong relationships with customers through excellent service
- Manage and update customer records, quotes, and sales activity
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets
Essential Requirements
- Advantagous – Proven experience in the PPE and/or Workwear industry
- Must have Construction Sales Experience – Please only apply if you have relevant product sales experience.
- Strong field sales background with a track record of meeting targets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Highly organised and self-motivated
- Comfortable working independently in a mobile role
- Full UK driving licence (car driver essential)
Desirable Skills
- Existing customer contacts within the PPE or Workwear sector
- Knowledge of health & safety standards related to PPE
