What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design user-focused interfaces through wireframes, prototypes, and iterative testing
- Turn complex user needs into clear, intuitive digital experiences aligned with best practice and standards
- Build and maintain reusable UI components and scalable design systems
- Develop modern front-end applications using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
- Create responsive, accessible interfaces suited to secure and restricted environments
- Integrate front-end solutions with APIs and backend services
- Optimise performance for speed, usability, and low-bandwidth scenarios
- Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver end-to-end digital services
Main Skills Needed:
- Strong front-end development experience with React, Angular, or Vue
- Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Proven UX capability across wireframing, prototyping, and interaction design
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and inclusive design
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
- Ability to integrate with RESTful APIs and handle JSON data
- Background in secure or regulated sectors (e.g. government, defence, national security)
- Familiarity with secure development principles such as DevSecOps
