I’m partnering exclusively with a global insurance company to appoint an experienced Indirect Tax Senior Manager to join their Tax team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in enhancing and delivering a world‑class indirect tax function during a period of significant growth and transformation.
The Opportunity
You’ll report to the Indirect Tax Business Partner and take ownership of managing indirect tax accounting, compliance, governance and advisory activity across the organisation’s international footprint. With increasingly complex tax authority expectations, this role will be central to strengthening and modernising the company’s indirect tax capabilities.
What You’ll Do
Indirect Tax Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Oversee the review and submission of UK, EU and other international indirect tax returns.
- Enhance governance, controls, documentation and reporting standards.
- Lead indirect tax data extraction, validation and reconciliation processes.
- Manage relationships with outsourced service providers, ensuring complete and accurate filings.
- Drive continuous improvement and support the implementation of technology‑enabled tax solutions.
Trusted Advisor & Business Partner
- Provide technical indirect tax expertise on VAT, IPT, cross‑border transactions, place of supply and partial exemption issues.
- Assess indirect tax implications of new products, processes and systems.
- Monitor and communicate changes in global tax legislation to internal stakeholders.
- Support tax authority audits, enquiries and escalation processes.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
Who We’re Looking For
A tax professional with strong indirect tax technical expertise, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to thrive in a multinational, fast‑paced environment. Experience within insurance or financial services is beneficial but not essential.
