Le Cordon Bleu London & Paris Institutes are looking to recruit an IT Manager to support our daily IT operations for the London and Paris institutes we are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist who is professional, confident with IT systems, able to communicate effectively, prioritise issues efficiently and work flexibly and independently in a school environment.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management : installation, setup, maintenance, upgrades…
- Servers: HPE rack servers, Dell rack servers, iLo/iDrac
- Storage systems: HPE vSAN, NAS, iSCSI with multipathing
- Network: switches, routers, mostly Pfsense, Cisco, Dell, Ubiquiti and Mikrotik. VLAN, LAG, Failover, VPN
- UPS and Rack: power and PDU capacity, usage tracking, auto-shutdown
- Telephone system: Microsoft teams telephony, Mitel PBX, SIP Trunking
- CCTV: Milestone, Hikvision, Dahua
- Access Control: Biostar 2
- WiFi: Ubiquiti ecosystem, Xirrus, with network access system Packetfence
- Virtual Servers: Xenserver/ XCP-NG, VMWare vSphere, Proxmox
- M365 administration,
- Microsoft Azure cloud experience
- Backup Management: Veeam, Xenorchestra, on local storage, Tape and Cloud
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to streamline day-to-day operations and enhance productivity
- Server Administration: OS, Updates, Active Directory Management, Remote Desktop Services, Apps
- Basic database management: SQL Server mainly, MySQL/MariaDB (backup/restore, access rights)
- Security management: access rights, anti-virus, intrusion detection
- Maintain IT Infrastructure and management tools: monitoring platform and inventory
- Write and maintain servers and network systems operational manual
- Ensure the day to day smooth running, fault fixing and seamless continuity of IT systems
- Can help global IT for server restart/troubleshooting based on CET
- Lead, mentor, and develop the IT support and technical teams
- Manage capex, procurement, and vendor relationships
- Understanding of lean six sigma principals is an asset
Attributes
- Good technical knowledge of IT technologies, servers, switches, routers, storage systems
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows server
- Passion for IT with the enthusiasm and initiative to learn and develop new skills
- Can multi-task and prioritise
- Willing and able to travel to Paris, France on a regular basis
- Work under pressure at times of emergency
- Team player and able to adapt to a multicultural environment
Qualifications
Must have:
- 3-4 years relevant experience
- Professional qualification relevant to the job
- Experience of supporting a variety of IT Systems
Would be beneficial for the person to have at least one of the following qualifications
- VMWare certification
- Microsoft certification
- Linux certification
Would be beneficial for the person to speak additional languages and particularly:
- French
