Investment Associate, Leading Mid-Market Private Equity Fund, London

The Client:

We’re partnering with a well-established infrastructure and private equity investment manager that’s looking to expand its Real Assets Investment team. They have a long standing track record and an international presence globally with a strong focus on energy transition and infrastructure.

The platform manages a large portfolio of renewable energy and infrastructure assets and is currently deploying capital across multiple funds. The investment scope spans across core, core+ and value-add strategies.

The opportunity is for an Investment Associate within the London based Investment team, focused on deploying capital through equity investments across infrastructure and energy transition sectors.

The Role:

• Leading financial modelling and analytical workstreams for live transactions
• Supporting the execution of acquisitions and investments, including due diligence and investment committee materials
• Coordinating advisors and assisting with overall project management
• Reviewing new investment opportunities, including analysing marketing materials and preparing initial financial assessments
• Engaging with vendors, developers, and corporate finance advisors
• Assisting in the preparation of bids and offer documentation

The Candidate:

• Strong academic background with a degree from a leading university
• 2+ years’ experience in investment banking, Big 4, or buy-side investing, with exposure to infrastructure or energy transition sectors
• Solid understanding of M&A processes
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to take ownership of models on live deals
• Progress towards, or recent completion of, a professional qualification such as ACA or CFA is preferred
• Additional European language skills are advantageous
