The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our clients Finance team in their Head Office in Cookstown.
This role involves budget preparation, financial performance monitoring, and working closely with departmental managers across all depots.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Year-end accounts for auditors
- Managing accruals, prepayments, and internal recharges
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Hire purchase accounting
- Bank reconciliations
- HMRC returns (including UK & ROI VAT)
- Completing monthly, quarterly, and annual surveys
- TSS declarations
- EC Sales and Intrastat reporting
- Supporting system improvements and maintenance
- Assisting with additional finance duties as required
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and financial systems
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Solid understanding of financial processes and tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience with Sage 200 Accounts (desirable)
Working Hours
- Monday Thursday: 9:00am 5:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am 4:00pm
- Total: 35.25 hours per week
