Head of Business Applications and Platforms Practice (UK & Ireland)

Team you’ll be working with

The Head of Business Applications and Platforms Practice is a strategic leadership role responsible for building and evolving a world‑class enterprise applications capability. This role will drive practice growth in the UK & Ireland region, support Sectors (industry‑aligned business units) in achieving revenue targets, and ensure successful delivery of client engagements. They will operate in NTT DATA Inc’s global operating (matrix) model. The leader will also be accountable for talent development, presales support, and leveraging global delivery centres in India, Morocco, Romania, etc.

The practice will initially focus on Oracle suite (Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud HCM, Oracle Cloud Integration, Oracle EPM, Oracle BI) and Microsoft platforms (MS Dynamics, MS Power Apps), with expansion into other platforms such as Workday, Peoplesoft, Infor, Guidewire, PLM, Pega, and Celonis over time.

What you will be doing

Practice Leadership & Capability Development

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Business Applications and Platforms Practice.
• Build and enhance capabilities across Oracle and Microsoft platforms, with phased development of additional technologies.
• Foster innovation and adoption of emerging technologies and methodologies.

Business Enablement & Presales Support

• Partner with Sectors (industry‑aligned business units) to support revenue growth through:
• Solutioning and architecture design.
• Proposal development and client presentations.
• Thought leadership and market positioning.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.

Delivery Ownership

• Oversee delivery of signed contracts ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for delivery excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency across engagements.

Global Collaboration

• Leverage global delivery centres in India, Morocco, and Romania for scalable execution.
• Align global teams with practice goals and delivery standards.
• Promote cross‑border collaboration and knowledge sharing.

People Management & Development

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of consultants, architects, and delivery managers.
• Drive talent acquisition, retention, and career development.
• Cultivate a high‑performance, inclusive, and collaborative culture.

What experience you’ll bring

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience (10+ years) in leading enterprise application practices or large‑scale delivery teams.
• Strong expertise in Oracle and Microsoft enterprise platforms.
• Demonstrated success in presales, solutioning, and client engagement.
• Experience of managing delivery including global teams and delivery centres in a matrix management model.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Strategic thinking with a growth mindset.
• Ability to navigate complex environments and drive transformation.
• Familiarity with agile delivery models and cloud transformation journeys.
• Certifications in Oracle and Microsoft platforms are a plus.
