Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP) Emergency Medicine

Job Overview

South Warwickshire University Foundation Trust offers a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP) role in Emergency Medicine for experienced healthcare professionals including paramedics, registered nurses and physiotherapists.

Applicants must possess excellent clinical and leadership skills and be ready to commit to a supported MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, including non‑medical prescribing. The position is full‑time with an 80/20 clinical‑academic split.

Responsibilities

• Exercise advanced clinical skills, judgment, discretion and decision‑making in emergency care, supported by a professional portfolio.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary Emergency Medicine team and allied specialties to deliver accessible, high‑quality care.
• Progress towards completing a full MSc qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audit, research, training and education agendas within the Emergency Medicine team.

Qualifications

• Experience in paramedicine, registered nursing or physiotherapy with demonstrated clinical and leadership capabilities.
• Willingness and ability to undertake the supported MSc program, including non‑medical prescribing.
