Our client is a prominent player in the field of Surface Water Management (SWM), influencing the discourse on Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) integration into green-blue infrastructure and masterplanning. Our national team is multidisciplinary, working with water companies, local authorities, and developers on major projects, delivering cutting-edge digital services to clients.
Job Summary:They are seeking a Senior/Principal SWM Modeller for the Networks & Drainage Solutions business to support an expanding portfolio. The role involves integrated catchment modelling, blue-green infrastructure solutions, and potential development into a regional point of contact for SWM and SuDS.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the water environment and sustainability.
- Curiosity for developing innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.
- Experience in surface water management projects.
- Understanding of the UK Water Industry and regulatory issues.
- Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects.
- Experience in integrated drainage modelling.
- Competence in using Hydraulic modelling software (ideally ICM).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in team working on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Ability to develop and motivate junior team members.
- Attained chartered status (ICE or CIWEM).
Responsibilities:
- Technical and project management of surface water management projects.
- Undertake Project Manager role on projects as required.
- Support in developing client relationships with key Water Company and non-Water Company clients to support growth.
- Support in the preparation of bid documents and estimates.
- Supervision of project teams and support Business Manager in resource planning.
- Promote staff development through training, on-the-job experience, and personal development.
- Contribute towards technical innovation and improvement workgroups.
