Role Description
We are hiring an Auctions Business Development Manager who is driven, relentless, and focused on results. This is a primarily remote role with occasional in‑person days required at our Manchester office for meetings, onboarding or team collaboration. This is a performance‑led position – not a clock‑in, clock‑out job. Your job is simple: generate revenue.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business through self‑sourced leads using high‑volume outbound activity (calls, emails, follow‑ups)
- Identify and research target businesses and decision‑makers
- Build, manage, and continuously grow your own pipeline of opportunities
- Convert prospects into active auction clients
- Relentlessly follow up until deals are closed
- Manage and grow your own portfolio of vendors
- Work closely with internal teams to onboard and deliver successful auctions
- Track all activity and performance through CRM systems
- Consistently hit and exceed revenue targets
Performance Expectations (Non‑Negotiable)
- 80–120 outbound calls per day depending on pipeline stage
- Daily self‑generated lead sourcing and outreach
- Daily email outreach and structured follow‑ups
- Weekly new client acquisition targets
- Monthly revenue targets directly linked to commission
- 100% CRM usage with accurate and up‑to‑date reporting
First 90 Days
- Learn and fully understand our auction model and sales process
- Build a consistent and active pipeline of self‑generated qualified leads
- Close your first deals and onboard new vendors
- Operate independently with strong daily activity levels
- Begin contributing measurable revenue to the business

- Proven experience in a high‑activity, target‑driven sales or business development role
- Confident and comfortable with cold calling, objection handling, and closing
- Ability to source and generate your own leads consistently
- Highly organised with strong pipeline management skills
- Self‑motivated, disciplined, and accountable
- Resilient – able to handle rejection and maintain consistency
- Competitive mindset with a strong desire to earn
- Experience in auctions, asset sales, liquidation, or related sectors is advantageous but not essential
