Summary: Leads work crews and workers engaged in lifting and moving materials, and machines, using power operated equipment such as cranes, hoists, winches, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversees field employees engaged in steel erection and ironworking activities.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum High School Certificate plus certificate or diploma or equivalent professional qualification. Extensive familiarity with rigging works with at least 3 years of experience as Foreman or Lead Person.

Language Skills

Ability to read, interpret, and follow project documents including specifications, drawings, project plans, lift plans, procedures, and memos. Able to give instructions efficiently and effectively to workforce. Communicates with Project Managers to ensure the optimum outcome.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid driver's license. Must meet all CSE MVR criteria.

Other Qualifications

Must be able to travel. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
