Job Title: Service Advisor
Location: Farnham
Hours: 7.30am - 5.30pm
Days: Monday - Friday
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Your duties will be supporting the service departments administration/reception and always ensuring complete customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic and confident personality and can work well within a team.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assess their vehicle service needs in a professional manner
- Explain repair and maintenance work clearly, providing recommendations for additional services through upselling opportunities
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services
- Prepare accurate estimates and invoices for customers, including handling cash transactions securely
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, vehicle history, and service orders
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage future business
- Keep the service area organised and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service within an automotive or related industry is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle issues and communicate effectively with technicians
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to upsell additional services tactfully while prioritising customer needs
- Competence in cash handling and basic administrative tasks
- Organised, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential; however, a clean driving record is preferred
