Job Title: M&E Shift Leader (Days Only)
Location: Liverpool Street, London
Salary: £50,000 - £52,000 per annum (up to £55,000 for strong candidates)
Working Hours: 4 On, 4 Off - Days Only (7:00am to 7:00pm)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Leader to join the engineering team at a large, multi‑tenanted commercial building in the City of London.
This is a hands‑on leadership role, working within landlord services on a high‑profile site, managing day‑to‑day engineering operations while remaining technically involved.
The Role:
- Leading a small on‑site shift team delivering M&E maintenance.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.
- Supporting both electrical and mechanical systems across the building.
- Acting as the first point of contact for technical issues during shift hours.
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with compliance and health & safety standards.
- Liaising with day engineers, fabric team, supervisors and management on site.
Package:
- £50,000 - £52,000 basic salary (up to £55,000 for strong candidates)
- 4 on, 4 off days‑only shift pattern
- 20 shift days annual leave
- Call‑out rota 1 in 2 (£120 standby - low call‑out volume)

Requirements:
- Electrical or Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
- Strong experience across both electrical and mechanical building services.
- Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role desirable.
- Good fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability.
- Experience working within commercial building environments.
