Shape the future of transport across the North. Join a leading consultancy delivering high-impact development projects and play a key role in creating smarter, more sustainable transport solutions.
As a Principal or Senior Transport Planner, you will be part of a well-established Transport North team delivering a diverse portfolio of development-led projects across the private and public sectors. Working with developers, local authorities and multidisciplinary teams, you will lead and support the preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Environmental Impact Assessment inputs. The role also includes mentoring junior colleagues, contributing to business development through fee proposals, and maintaining strong client relationships, while staying at the forefront of industry standards and best practice.
You will influence the success of key infrastructure and development schemes by providing clear, data‑driven transport insights. From site appraisals to client meetings, your expertise will help shape planning outcomes, improve accessibility and support sustainable growth. Your leadership will also strengthen team capability, ensuring high‑quality delivery across all projects.
Degree or Masters in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related field. Working towards or holding professional accreditation (e.g. CIHT, CILT, TPP or ICE) is desirable. Proven UK consultancy experience in transport planning is essential.
