Overview of the role
The Sales Data and Operations Manager will be responsible for sourcing, building, optimizing, and analysing processes that drive revenue, support sales and marketing functions, and enable effective data-driven decision-making across the business. The role requires a strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset and a collaborative approach to work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other departments to optimize the entire revenue generation cycle, streamline operations, and ensure timely access to valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations
- Data Gathering and Analysis
- Profile new business opportunities by collecting market and prospect data to support targeted outbound sales campaigns.
- Develop insights on the existing client portfolio: client composition, revenue share, risk weighting, client lifecycle, and onboarding timelines.
- Act as a cross-functional collaborator across go-to-market teams to align objectives and optimize efforts.
- Extract and interpret insights from business data to optimize sales, marketing, and retention processes.
Revenue-Generating Processes
- Build, optimise, and analyse internal processes for generating revenue.
- Enhance CRM systems for governance, data integrity, process optimization, reporting, and forecasting.
- Manage lead sourcing tools to support the sales pipeline.
- Utilise Inforex and existing client data for performance tracking and optimisation.
Cross-Functional Project Management
- Collaborate with sales and marketing functions to provide priority data for campaigns and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure cross-departmental alignment on data requirements and timely acquisition of information.
Marketing Operations
- Marketing Workflow Optimisation
- Build, optimise, and analyse marketing workflows, including paid campaigns, events, and inbound inquiry handling, to ensure efficient lead management.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to design and implement strategies for capturing, nurturing, and converting leads via HubSpot, emphasizing the development of an opted‑in marketing database.
Data Collaboration and Prioritization
- Work with the Marketing team on priority data requirements for ad‑hoc campaigns, regulatory communications, or incident response communications.
- Provide insights on market trends and campaign performance to shape future marketing efforts.
Attribution Reporting
- Develop sophisticated attribution reports within HubSpot to deliver a comprehensive view of conversions by channel.
- Provide insights into customer journeys that include both marketing-driven interactions and conversions via other channels, such as outbound or partnerships.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Experience
- Proven experience in Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, or Revenue Operations roles within a B2B environment, ideally in the fintech or payments industry.
- Proficiency in CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and experience in managing data integrity and reporting processes.
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, forecasting, and building dashboards or reports (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Proficient in Excel, SQL, or similar tools for data analysis and process optimisation.
- Knowledge of lead sourcing tools and techniques.
