Morson Vital have an excellent opportunity for a CEM who has strong working knowledge with OLE and Lineside Civils.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly competent OLE & Lineside Civils Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM) to lead engineering assurance and delivery across rail infrastructure projects. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring that all Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) and associated civils works are delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Act as the Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM) in accordance with rail industry standards.
- Provide engineering leadership across OLE and lineside civils disciplines.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant standards (e.g. Network Rail standards, CDM Regulations).
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Oversee design reviews, approvals, and technical submissions.
- Ensure robust engineering assurance processes are implemented and maintained.
- Interface with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Identify and manage engineering risks and opportunities.
- Support project planning, resource allocation, and delivery milestones.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a CEM within the UK rail industry.
- Strong background in OLE (Overhead Line Equipment) and lineside civils works.
- In-depth knowledge of rail standards, engineering processes, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrable experience managing engineering teams on complex infrastructure projects.
