Social Sciences Teacher (Humanities, Psychology, Sociology & More)
An 'Outstanding' Secondary School in the Borough of Wandsworth is seeking a full‑time, permanent Social Science Teacher to start in September 2026. The role requires teaching a range of subjects to KS3‑KS5.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Humanities (History or Geography), Religious Education, Citizenship, PSHE, Sociology, Psychology across KS3‑KS5.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons, use a variety of teaching methods and resources.
- Assess student progress and provide useful feedback.
- Work with the school team, including supporting teaching assistants and coordinating pastoral care.
- Pursue TLR (Teacher Leadership) opportunities such as KS4/5 coordinator or pastoral lead.
Professional Requirements
- UK QTS or in the process of gaining.
- Strong academic profile (degree, A‑levels and GCSEs).
- Achieve ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ against the 8 Teaching Standards.
- Willingness to accept constructive feedback and engage in professional development.
- Committed to supporting ECTs and following MPS1‑UPS3 standards.
