Job Title: Project Surveyor

Location: Surrey (with projects across the South Coast)

Salary: £65,000 – £90,000 (DOE)

About the Company

Our client is a well-established, growing main contractor delivering a diverse range of projects across the South East. With a strong reputation for quality and repeat business, they operate across multiple sectors including commercial, healthcare, education and residential, typically delivering schemes up to £10m in value. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a capable Project Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The Role

• Manage the commercial aspects of multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account
• Take ownership of cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Lead procurement of subcontract packages, including tendering and negotiation
• Administer subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payments
• Identify, price, and agree variations
• Produce accurate cost reports and forecasts for senior management
• Work closely with site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Surveyor or experienced Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
• Background in delivering projects across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, or residential
• Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g. JCT)
• Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Relevant degree or professional qualification preferred
