About the Role

We’re recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a highly regarded, forward‑thinking professional services environment, supporting strategic growth across key sectors including Energy & Infrastructure and/or Mobility, Logistics & Manufacturing.

This is a commercially focused role sitting within a collaborative business development and marketing function, where you’ll play a key part in driving client growth, strengthening relationships, and delivering impactful, insight‑led campaigns.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, contributing to sector strategy, identifying new opportunities, and leading initiatives that support revenue generation and long‑term client engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at pace, influencing senior stakeholders, and shaping growth in a structured, strategic way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to identify and deliver growth opportunities across target sectors
  • Develop and execute business development and marketing plans aligned to sector strategy
  • Build strong relationships across internal teams to support cross‑selling and collaborative initiatives
  • Lead on the creation of targeted campaigns, thought leadership, and sector‑focused content
  • Support bid activity and new business opportunities, including preparation of credentials and proposals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external networks, industry bodies, and referral partners
  • Deliver client listening initiatives and support relationship development with key accounts
  • Manage sector budgets, ensuring effective use of spend and clear return on investment
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategy
  • Collaborate with PR, communications, and research teams to enhance brand visibility
  • Provide reporting and insight to support performance tracking and decision‑making
  • Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in business development and/or marketing within a professional services environment
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify and convert opportunities
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders
  • Strong communication and content development skills
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Analytical mindset, able to interpret data and translate insights into actionProactive, collaborative, and solutions‑focused approach
  • Experience or interest in sectors such as Energy, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, or Logistics is advantageous
