We’reseeking aBusiness Development Managerto join our growing team, specializing inengineering staffing solutionsacross sectors such as manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, and technology.

WhatYou’ll Be Doing:

Lead New Business Development Initiatives:Identify, develop, and close engineering service deals on anew business basiswithin theEnergy Sector (renewables & nuclear),including bothnewlogo’s(80%) and expanding existing client relationships (20%)to further build outSegula’sfootprint in the UK.

Strategic Sales:Own the sales cycle from lead generation(in conjunction with marketing) to contract negotiation andclosing upto & including the C-Suite.You’llcreate and execute effective strategies to target and engage high-potential clients across Energy.

Client Relationship Management:Build andmaintainstrong relationships with key decision-makers within client organisations. Understand client needs, business challenges, and provide tailored engineering staffing solutions to address those needs.

Market and Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging engineering technologies. Use this insight to guide sales efforts andidentifynew opportunities.

Collaborate with Internal Teams:Work closely with the other European teamsto ensure proposals, contracts, and project execution are aligned with client needs.

Revenue Growth and Targets:Achieve and exceed defined sales targets and KPIs. Continuouslymonitorand improve the sales pipeline to ensure consistent growth.

Proposal Development and Presentation:Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and demonstrations, effectively communicating the value oftheir solutions to prospects.

Networking and Industry Presence:Attend industry events, webinars, and conferencesto build your professional network and promote the company’s services. Represent the business as a thought leader within the Engineering Services space.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

At least 5+ yearsof proven new business development/new logo acquisition experience within B2B Recruitment/Engineering Services sectors within Energy.

Client Acquisition & Growth:Identifyand engage new business opportunities within the engineering sector, building long-term relationships with decision-makers.

Strategic Sales: Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to meet client needs and exceed revenue targets.

Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to position our services effectively.

Collaboration: Work closely with recruitment teams to ensure seamless delivery of staffing solutions and client satisfaction.

Account Management:Maintainand grow existing client accounts through regular engagement and performance reviews.

WhatWe’re Looking For:

Proven experience inbusiness development or saleswithin theengineering or technical industry.

Strong understanding of engineering disciplines and workforce challenges.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Results-oriented mindset witha track recordof meeting or exceeding targets.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Salary – £60 – £70k base + car allowance and bonus
  • Hybrid working –1Days in the office per week (Derby)
  • Strong basic salary plus annual bonus
