Commercial Gas Engineer

• 8AM - 5PM with some flexibility on hours
• Home for 5PM
• Overtime available
• 1 week in 10 call out at £150 retainer
• Covering North East England

Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit a Commercial Gas Engineer to cover the North East in a company van, where you will complete Commercial Boiler Maintenance across a number of Banking, Education and Government contracts.

These are Retail, Commercial office sites and farming buildings.

Supported by Regional leadership and a Helpdesk function you will work to a PPM regime while also completing reactive repairs, focused on Gas, but with some general building fabric.

This is a great role, working for a large, successful FM provider on stable contracts, where you are entrusted to work independently, do not have to do regular evening or weekend overtime and will be home at 5PM.

There is also a good variety to the engineering works.

Actions will include:

• Responsibility for commercial combustion, heating and HVAC bias PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are exceeded.
• Responsibility for other types of building services maintenance to include fabric, HVAC, mechanical and related tasks.
• To provide callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota.
• Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops and storage areas.
• To undertake new installations, major and minor repair works to clients heating systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant including basic electrical fault finding.
• To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met. Issue of Permits to Work.
• Ensure that all heating equipment within scope operates to specified performance criteria.
• Ensure equipment and surrounding area conforms to agreed company standards.
