Estates Officer - Building Design & Project Management

We are looking for an Estates Officer (Building Design & Project Management) to join our Capital Planning Department at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role will focus on providing engineering advice and design support for the redevelopment of new build and adaptation/refurbishment of healthcare facilities across all Trust sites.

You will work within the Capital Planning Team (Band 7) and support the Capital Planning Department by providing essential building design and advice for all capital projects, new build and refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities

• Design (computer‑aided design), specify, post‑contract control and project manage capital schemes undertaken by the Estates & Facilities Division across the entire Trust.
• Conduct site quality control of all building and construction on multiple large capital projects throughout the Trust.
• Ensure all schemes managed comply fully with guidance and statutory standards, including CDM Regulations.
• Assist the Head of Capital & Property Services with a range of estate management duties.
• Collaborate as a team member within the Capital Planning Department, delivering essential building design and advice for all capital projects, new build and refurbishment projects.
