Procurement and Contracts Category Manager

What will your day look like?
- Lead and deliver procurement activity across your category portfolio, including planning, leading, and managing procurement projects to ensure compliance throughout the commercial lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain the appropriate suite of tender documentation, oversee effective evaluation processes, and set clear criteria and scoring.
- Support and implement category plans, providing procurement and contract management advice, guidance, and support to service areas.
- Use analysis and insight to shape sourcing approaches and support continuous improvement in policies, systems, and procedures.
- Ensure transparency requirements are met, maintaining key registers and pipelines such as contracts registers and procurement pipelines in line with Council requirements.
- Build strong, collaborative working relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing constructively to support effective procurement and contract management practices and improved outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Procurement or Contracts Category Manager.
- Strong knowledge of the procurement commercial lifecycle and contract management.
- Experience in developing tender documentation and leading compliant procurement exercises.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse service areas and senior stakeholders.
