Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner – Permanent, Full-time

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and qualified professional to join the team working across the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Primary Care Network / Neighborhood Mental Health Teams. You will be employed by Pennine Care but work within local GP practices as a visible and accessible point of contact for GPs and service users, providing timely support and intervention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide early assessment and brief psychological interventions for individuals with mental health needs.
  • Support individuals to access appropriate community and mental health services.
  • Help people identify achievable goals, promote self‑management and connect them with relevant local resources.
  • Act as a primary contact for both GPs and service users, ensuring timely and effective support.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health) – equivalent to degree level.
  • Graduate certificate (RQF Level 6) delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health).
