Practitioner Psychologist

Overview

We are recruiting a Clinical / Counselling / Health Practitioner Psychologist to join the NHS Children and Young People Gender Service (South West) (CYPGS SW).

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed holistic assessments of children and young people referred to the Gender Service.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children, young people and families under the care of the Gender Service.
• Provide assessment and brief intervention to children, young people and families referred from other children’s specialities in the Trust.
• Provide psychological services, including assessment, formulation and implementation of psychological interventions for children, young people, adults and their families.
• Deliver these services in outpatient and ward-based settings as needed.
• Provide psychological advice, consultation, training and support for other professionals.
• Undertake or support research and audit relevant to care pathways.
