12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT (MATERNITY COVER)
The Role:
This post is offered on a 12 month fixed term basis, working full time. Working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, on a shift basis over 7 days, including rotation onto nights. We offer pay enhancements for weekend and night working.

Job Responsibilities
About You: Are you a committed, compassionate professional? Would you find it rewarding to provide high levels of holistic and individualised patient care to support and make a difference when it matters most?
Key responsibilities include:
- Working as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team
- Providing high levels of care to patients and their families, alongside Nursing Assistants, Student Nurses & Volunteers
- Evidence based clinical knowledge and excellent communication during assessment, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of patient care and treatment
Person Specification
Qualifications
- A good standard of Education, Minimum GCSE English & Maths or equivalent
- Evidence of professional development in the speciality of palliative care
- Diploma in Palliative Care/Oncology/Community or working towards
Experience
- Ability to plan, implement and evaluate care
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Drug calculation skills and awareness of the NMC Standards of Medicines
- Management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Some post qualification experience (at least 3 months), general nursing
- Previous palliative care experience
- Experience of working in settings other than hospital
