Overview
Victoria Beckham Ltd offers a selection of work placement opportunities for students currently studying at university and looking to gain experience in the Fashion Industry. The placements provide a varied and tangible learning experience that can be applied to future roles and support the university’s learning experience. Only current university students who are required to complete a placement year as part of their course are eligible for this placement opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Work with the RTW Atelier to build Raw Material dockets to send to factories, and collate relevant patterns.
- Organise shipments and couriers to and from factories.
- Anticipate technical problems, assess their impact on production, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in collating the Technical Sheets from the Garment Tech Team for input into the PLM system.
- Launch Dry Clean tests based on feedback from Quality Meetings.
- Assist Product Developers across various categories (Leather, Denim, Woven, etc.) in development processes such as pleating and washing.
- Colour sketches for product overviews.
- Help pack the collection with team members during collection shipping (showroom, show venue, photoshoots).
- Measure prototypes and SMS.
- Raise POs for sampling and yarns.
- Set up ‘Internals’ Sheets to colour match trims to self fabrics, and swatch the sheets before Finishes Meetings.
- Ensure the Atelier is stocked with internals and trims, keeping the Trim Developer up to date.
- Organise shipments and couriers to and from mills/suppliers.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Dedicated and motivated with meticulous attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic about a product with high‑standard finishes.
- Strive to enhance and continuously improve the development process.
- Good communicator and coordinator with various teams.
- Comfortable with computer systems and Excel.
- Strong team player.
- Sociable and proactive.
- Ready to handle manual and admin tasks (e.g., cut fabrics, DHL prep, collection shipment).
- Proficient with Photoshop and Illustrator.
Eligibility
Internships are only open to candidates who are currently enrolled in a full‑time, higher education course. Applicants who are not current students are not eligible.
