Lead Control Systems Engineer – The Role

  • Lead PLC, HMI & SCADA software design and development for bespoke systems
  • Take ownership of technical delivery across multiple projects
  • Design and configure industrial networks
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers throughout project life cycles
  • Oversee and contribute to documentation including FDS, FAT & SAT
  • Support site installation and commissioning activities
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers

Lead Control Systems Engineer – The Person

  • Strong background in PLC, HMI and/or SCADA systems design (Siemens, Schneider or Rockwell preferred)
  • Proven experience delivering projects from concept through to commissioning
  • Ability to lead projects and support/mentor engineers
  • Competent in reading and modifying electrical schematics (design capability advantageous)
  • Experienced in FAT/SAT processes and associated documentation
  • Degree qualified in an electrical or related discipline (preferred, not essential)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise directly with customers

  • Office-based role with approximately 20% travel to UK sites
