Maintenance Engineer – Night Shift Salary: Up to £50,000 Location: Slough Shift: 4 on / 4 off | 6am-6pm or 7am-7pm (42 hours per week) Sector: Food Manufacturing / FMCG

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business in Slough. Due to continued operational demand, they are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their night shift team on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and wants the stability of a long-term role with a reputable employer.

The Role

• Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site
• Minimising downtime by diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives on site
• Working closely with production teams to ensure maximum plant availability
• Completing accurate maintenance records and documentation

The Candidate

• Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with mechanical and electrical experience
• Background in food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar fast-paced production environment
• Electrical bias is advantageous
• PLC experience desirable — Siemens an advantage
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Comfortable working a 4 on / 4 off night shift pattern
• Reliable, self-motivated, and safety conscious
