  • Champion Environmental Excellence – Be the go‑to environmental advisor on site, ensuring best‑practice controls and mitigations are embedded in day‑to‑day works.
  • Protect Iconic Landscapes & Species – Safeguard a diverse range of habitats and species across forests, waterways and remote Highland terrain.
  • Influence Major Infrastructure Delivery – Provide practical, expert advice to project managers and site teams on environmental responsibilities and legal compliance.
  • Lead Monitoring, Audits & Inspections – Carry out inspections, audits and incident investigations to continuously improve environmental performance.
  • Collaborate with Specialists – Work closely with ecologists, archaeologists and technical contractors to minimise environmental impact at every stage.

Who They're Looking For:

  • Experienced Environmental Professional – Proven background as an Environmental Advisor or ECoW on large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong Legislative Knowledge – Confident working with UK and Scottish environmental regulation, consent conditions and industry standards.
  • Practical & Site‑Focused – Comfortable spending time on active worksites, offering pragmatic, solutions‑led advice.
  • Clear Communicator & Influencer – Able to engage site teams, contractors and stakeholders to drive environmental awareness and compliance.
