We also have a growing range of other products to enhance gardens, terraces and homes.

Our projects are delivered internationally, requiring a high level of engineering precision, collaboration, and on‑site understanding.

Twinscape has projects all around the world and manages these projects in cooperation with local partners.The floors are designed and manufactured in the UK.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong technical expertise, practical problem‑solving skills, and the ability to take ownership of projects from concept through to installation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of our bespoke mechanical systems, working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor (3D CAD) and AutoCAD (2D CAD)
  • Produce detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
  • Lead design projects from concept through to production and installation
  • Develop and refine hydraulic systems for submerged structures
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers on control systems integration
  • Liaise with clients, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and installation partners
  • Provide technical support during fabrication and on‑site installation
  • Conduct design reviews, testing, and continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and safety requirements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer (senior level preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
  • Solid understanding of:
  • Mechanical engineering principles
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Electrical control systems
  • Construction and installation processes
  • Experience designing fabricated stainless‑steel structures is highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
